DIEAG successfully completes first quarter of 2023 and lets a total of over 22,000 sqm of commercial space

Leasing BE-U | Behrens-Ufer

At BE-U | Behrens-Ufer in Berlin-Oberschöneweide, a global leader in high-tech manufacturing for the electrical industry is leasing more than 10,000 sqm of commercial space to establish a new production site. By the time the company moves in at the beginning of 2024, the historic Peter Behrens Building in the area’s North Karree will house state-of-the-art production and laboratory space as well as offices. The lease will be signed on 10 March 2023 and the company has the option to further expand its space at the site. However, the company does not wish to be named at this stage. Savills acted as agents in the letting.

A total of 235,000 sqm of business rental space will be created on the approximately 10-hectare former industrial site of BE-U | Behrens-Ufer in historic and new buildings in three construction phases. The district will be developed to the highest standards of environmental, social and economic sustainability and will be the first urban quarter to be completely self-sufficient in green energy. Completion is scheduled for 2027.

Leasing Mizar Gate Office

International hotel group NOVUM Hospitality has leased a total of 12,405 sqm of commercial space in Mizar Gate Office at the BER in Schönefeld near Berlin, moving into two of the three buildings, Houses A and C. The third building is almost fully let to office tenants. Takeover of the leased space is scheduled for early 2024, during which time the mutually agreed-upon high-quality tenant fit-out will take place. The lease will be signed on 30 March 2023. Judith Lenz, Your Times Real Estate, acted as broker and Hogan Lovells as legal counsel in the leasing process.

Mizar Gate Office, which consists of three individual buildings with a total lettable area of 19,372 sqm, is now almost fully let and further lease negotiations are underway. Once the project is completed, the next step will be to subdivide the complex as planned and offer it for sale.
